My Personal Growth Bloomed With My Journey to Israel, July 5th 2012

The Journey From Conflict to Collaboration – Heading to Israel

As I searched for my purpose during my personal growth journey, I stumbled upon and now belong to a women’s global organization called braveheartwomen.com. This organization’s vision is to have western women hold the space of peace for women in regions of conflict. This is in keeping with the 2009 proclamation of the Dalai Lama ~ “The world will be saved by the Western woman.” In the middle of last month – June 2012_ I received a call from braveheart’s founder, Dr. Ellie Drake, asking me if I would answer the call to hop on a plane and go to Jerusalem to hold the space of peace for Palestinian and Israeli women, representing the western women of North America in her organization. I accepted, went and experienced the most amazing personal growth transformation in every women involved especially within myself. We are an incredible species.

I will share over the next days to come my personal growth journey in Israel leading up to July 5^th 2012. I hope you can feel the transformation as I witnessed it. I now will lead 33 western women back to Jerusalem in October of this year.

…I began this stage of my personal growth journey with a trip to Israel with a “yes” to Ellie’s calling for me to lead the western women to hold a space of peace while Palestinian and Israeli women gathered to blossom, create and collaborate.

Then I was on a plane heading to the Middle East.

After two days I was flying over Tel Aviv at 5 am seeing only the silhouette of the city. Not knowing what await for me when I set foot on Israeli soil. Not knowing what was before me, but knowing anything except that I was open to the challenge and believing that I could make a difference…

…And I did along with everyone else that connected on that beautiful day in Beit Jala, West Bank.
My life will never be the same. I am reborn and hunger to get back, to hold the space again in October with 33 sisters.

Israel is a small country geographically speaking but big in faith and heart. The energy there is intense. You can see and feel why there is conflict. But that conflict is ego based and we are there to rise above the heart, rise above the mind and connect with our feminine essence. The women of this region are as hungry to connect, as we are to hold the space. Do not fear – you are needed and welcome. The women cannot believe we are there nor that we would come all this way to “be.” I felt so safe and loved by these beautiful people in such a treasured country.

You can feel their desire for peace but they don’t have the tools to create it. The tools they have are the centuries of ingrained bias and the power of propaganda from the press and government. We offered a glimmer of a view with new tools.
