Are You At The Stage Of Starting Over?

Sample Question #9 from Fabulously Fifty and Reflecting It – Discovering My Lovable Me!

In my new book to be published May 2011, Fabulously Fifty and Reflecting it – Discovering My Lovable Me! I ask a series of reflective questions for you, the reader, to think about. Since I wrote this book as a workbook you have a pages to write down your own personal answers to the questions.

In the next few weeks I am going to post a sample of these questions and my reflections. Please take the time to think about your own life and challenges that you have been enduring and consider what your answers would be to these questions if you were posed them.

These questions are an important tool to discovering your lovable you. Putting your feelings, desires and reflections on paper can help you to see what it is you really want in this fabulous life you are experiencing. Don’t think too much just feel and write from your heart. You’ll be wonderfully surprised how easy it is to express your inner desires once you get started.

Question:

Are you at the stage of starting over?

Reflect on the stages in your life that lead them to this point.

Write the positives you learned from each stage.

Childhood – learned who I am today with the challenges I overcame as a child. I also discovered the person I am meant to be by looking at how I tackled the situations I found myself in and how I made the choices made with the tools I had to use at the time.

Looking back I have learned to forgive and be grateful. I have learned not to place blame on myself or on anyone that affected my upbringing. I have embraced each person who has helped me evolve into the perfectly authentic person I am.

1st Marriage – I received 4 great accomplishments – my children. I learned to be a mother, wife, manager, challenger, organizer, psychologist, problem solver, coach, mentor, adventurer, listener, humorist, and empathizer – in other words ME!

2nd Marriage – The addictions I encountered with my second husband helped me too make the firm decision to not wear the opinions of others on my shoulders. I decided to stand up for who I am today. I love myself for that. I wouldn’t have learned to set boundaries. I wouldn’t have decided to strengthen my self-esteem. I would never have searched for something better for myself. I wouldn’t have re-evaluated my life and have set the goals I have for myself AND go after them with the gusto I have.

My Children – reinforced for me the importance of unconditional love – the best thing out there.
